• Arrive to your small group Zoom session 15 minutes prior to the start of group 

• Spend Time Preparing using music or scripture

• Commit to attend every small group and add it to your calendar

• Prepare for group spiritually, attend lectures, and engage the assignments

• Confidentiality: Only share your own experience not stories about others

• Confidentiality is crucial for feeling safe in small group 

• Speak only about yourself, your own beliefs, and feelings

• Take risks and be willing to talk about yourself

• Resist speaking for others or trying to “fix” someone’s problems

• Recognize personality differences

• Honor how God is working in each person’s life

• Confidentiality Responsibilities

All disclosures are considered confidential.  The contents of the group sessions are considered confidential.  Both verbal information and written records about a member cannot be released without the written consent of the group member.  There are some exceptions related to the limits of confidentiality.  Under these exceptions, confidentially does not apply and appropriate legal authorities will be notified. 

These exceptions include:

• Acts, intentions, or plans to harm self or another (suicide/homicide)

• Intent to destroy property

• Abuse of children

• Abuse of vulnerable adults
